My Story

I am more than a social worker….

I promote social justice.  I am driven by enhancing the well-being of vulnerable, oppressed and impoverished people.  I believe that meeting the basic needs of people is a right. Therefore, I seek to meet people where they are and empower them through community engaged practice, advocacy, policy, research, and services.

In leading this work, I have established, The Healing Umbrella LLC as a vehicle to reach and serve vulnerable populations by addressing the disparities that the homeless and mentally challenged populations face. I recognize that solutions on this scale cannot be done alone.  To ensure our mission, we are establishing partnerships with other community agencies to enhance the health and well-being of individuals, families, groups, and organizations that are leading in translational and intervention spaces.
